Privacy, plainly.
No legal maze, just what this site collects, why, and what happens to it. It’s a short read, because there isn’t much to tell.
Who I am
This website belongs to Ascenso Accounting Ltd, company number 17047153, registered at 1110, 7 Cortland Bankside Boulevard, Manchester M3 7HF. For anything in this notice, write to info@ascensoaccounting.co.uk. That inbox is mine, and I answer it myself.
What the contact form collects
If you send an enquiry, I receive what you type: your name, email address, business name if you give one, what you do, and your message. It arrives as an email, delivered by Web3Forms, and I use it for exactly one thing: replying to you.
Your details are never sold, never shared for marketing, and never added to a mailing list. There is no newsletter waiting for you at the end of an enquiry.
Analytics, without cookies
The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It’s aggregated and anonymised: no cookies, no tracking you across the internet, no personal profile of you. I can see that a page was visited, not who visited it.
That’s also why there’s no cookie banner: there’s nothing to consent to. The fonts are hosted here rather than by Google, and the video plays from this site, not an embedded platform, so no third party watches you read.
How long I keep enquiries
Enquiry emails stay in my inbox for as long as the conversation is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. If we end up working together, records are then kept under the terms of the engagement letter you’ll receive. If you’d like an enquiry deleted, ask and it will be.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email info@ascensoaccounting.co.uk and I’ll sort it. If you’re ever unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
